Please note: The exhibition is displayed in The Drill Hall Gallery, First Floor.
There are stairs and no lift facility to the first floor but there is a wheelchair accessable EvacSystem available if required.

EXHIBITION:

The exhibition consists of ten new oil paintings of Holly Woodlawn by Sadie Lee.  In a separate room there is a display of photographs of Holly Woodlawn from throughout her career, audio taped conversations between Holly Woodlawn and Andy Warhol, books and memorabilia. There is also a plasma screen showing the short film ‘Broken Goddess’, a rare silent film starring Holly Woodlawn, directed by Peter Dallas in 1974.

This year the Drill Hall celebrates 30 years as the UK's leading presenter and producer of lesbian, gay and queer theatre and performance and is proud to be a co-producer of AND THEN HE WAS A SHE with Salford Museum and Art Gallery and Queer Up North, with the support of Arts Council England.
